Hello!

I’m Christina (she/her/hers)! My middle name is Best. Born and raised in Southern California, I made my way to Sacramento in 2008 to study photography in college at Sacramento state.

Growing up, I was always the kid with a disposable camera, but got into photography in high school. I fell in love with the darkroom and capturing moments and making photos. After studying photography, I decided to pursue weddings when marriage became open to all couples in June of 2015. I’ve been shooting weddings since then, and have fallen in love with capturing them. I love the emotions, anticipation, and being apart of your best day ever.

I got married in April 2018, and fell in love with weddings even more. Going through the wedding process has been a bonus and made me truly understand what goes into weddings. I respect the process, and know how much time, energy, and money goes into a wedding day. The love is the most important. I know love, I love love, and I LOVE capturing love.

I utilize natural light and space to beautifully capture subjects and their essence. As inspired by light, lines, shadows, space, and fellow creatives, I strive to capture the virtue I see and feel in the world.  I am a firm believer in Henri Cartier-Bresson’s “Decisive Moment” by using intuition, light, and timing to determine exactly when to snap the shutter (and then keep snapping).

When I'm not shooting, you'll find me hanging out with my wife, Anna and our cats. Anna loves to cook so I'm often found photographing what she makes around the house. We love to garden, have over 40 houseplants, and love going on daytrips to the mountains and coast.

If you're curious about my gear. I shoot with a Canon 5d mark iv + mark iii is my back up camera. I primarily use the 50mm, 35mm 1.4  and 100 mm lenses. I have 600 ex flash that I use after dark or when an extra bit of light is needed. I am licensed and insured.

I would love to hear from you and capture you!
