Alex and David got married in July of 2020 at their lovely home in Sacramento. It was the first wedding I photographed after the world shut down in spring of 2020, and I was so happy to be back to capturing weddings. It was a fun and intimate event with just their immediate families. The flowers were DIY, David built the arch they got married under, a close friend officiated, and the lovely folks of Fired Pizza provided the best wedding meal I’ve ever had!
The beauty of intimate weddings is that you can do them exactly how you like, and truly get quality time with all of your guests. It felt like a traditional wedding in the sense of having a ceremony, dinner, and dancing, it was just way more focused on them and their families… and it was incredible! We snuck away after dinner for golden hour portraits at a nearby park, which are still some of my favorites. We ended the evening with Nothing Bundt Cakes and a few portraits of them and their kitties!
I meant to post this ages ago, but found it in my drafts! No time like the present to post it… especially being that covid is still very real and present, it’s a great reminder that you can still get married, celebrate your love, and have the best time doing so!
Congrats Alex and David! Can’t believe your 2 year anniversary is just a couple seasons away!
