Annie and Shawn’s engagement session was such a refreshing way to start the new year.
After having rescheduled our shoot due to weather, we lucked out with sunny skies last Saturday morning. The UC Davis Arboretum was fresh and lovely. We avoided the occasional puddle, but found some great spots to shoot. The kind where the light is soft and even, it’s well lit but not too harsh. Lighting is a huge reason I love shooting in the morning.
One of my favorite parts of the arb is the redwood groove. It feels like you’re in muir woods, and is such a beautiful place for photos any time of year.
We made our way down to the native California plants section and took advantage of some path ways off the main trail. It was so nice to have Annie and Shawn in front of my lens. I loved capturing the way they made each other laugh.
Can’t wait for their wedding next month!
