Boudoir guide

Boudoir photography is all about connecting with yourself and your body and feeling good in the process. It promotes self love, acceptance, and confidence. Meet yourself where you’re at, celebrate where you are now, and give your body the self love it deserves. Society tells us we have to look a certain way or be a certain size to be beautiful, and boudoir photography is here to prove that all wrong. All bodies are beautiful, and all bodies deserve to feel beautiful. It’s saying I AM ENOUGH, and giving ourselves the love we deserve.

Your why

The best reason to have photos taken is because you want to! Celebrating the relationship with yourself, a birthday, maternity, matrimony, or just because, all reasons are valid!

What to wear

The fun part is dressing up as much or as little as you want to! You don’t have to be naked to take sexy photos. Soft robes, lacy bodysuits, oversized shirts, or silky sheets are all great options. Start with the most coverage, and take things off as you get cozy. 2-3 outfits is a great amount for some variety.

Props

It’s always nice to have something to do with your hands in photos. Whether it’s a bouquet of flowers, sexy heels, a sweet treat, etc. Props distract from vulnerability and can be a fun addition to the shoot.

My approach

I’ll talk you through shoot and help with posing and hyping you up the entire time. Boudoir shoots are about having fun and feeling beautiful just as you are. Boudoir photos are not photoshopped so we can celebrate every curve, line, and freckle.

Sessions are about one hour and can take place at my studio, your home, or a hotel or air bnb. Consider pampering yourself a bit extra and getting hair and make up done. Bring a friend, some bubbly, and get ready to have fun!

Currently booking about 1-3 months out, message me to book a shoot. Boudoir sessions start at $450 for a 1 hour shoot with 50+ photos, prints/books can be purchased after the shoot.
