John and Joyce’s Wedding! June 4th, 2016

The best days are those when you’re surrounded by love, friends, family, nature, and dancing. June 4, 2016 was one of those days. It was the day John and Joyce got married in Placerville, CA under an oak tree surrounded by those closest to them. There were so many details that made this day even more special to the Bride and Groom. I’ve gotta say, it was really special for me to document it. 

The bride’s brother, Rick, officiated the wedding. The wedding took place at the home of Chuck and Mira, Joyce’s cousins in Placerville, CA. John’s sons and other family members helped set up the wedding. The bride’s niece handmade the flower balls hanging from the trees. Family and friends arranged the gorgeous flowers. The Bride and her sisters baked the cakes; the lovely Oga frosted them. Everyone gave so much effort into making John and Joyce’s day as unique and perfect for them as possible. 

I’m so happy I was there to capture this day, and must thank Sarah for referring me. John and Joyce asked her if she know any photographers in this area and she passed my name along. Their wedding took place on my 29th birthday, and I got to shoot it with my best friend and partner Anna Miller.

The wedding took place nearly 3 months ago, and I think about it so often. I am filled with love every time I think about it and wanted to share my favorite images with you. 

Big thanks to the vendors that helped make John and Joyce’s wedding day so special. Bigger thanks to John and Joyce for loving and committing to each other, and bringing everyone together.
