Michelle + Graham Maternity

I met Michelle last year, when she was one of the models on a styled bridal shoot I photographed (see post here!!). She was lovely to work with, and of course we found each other on the gram and have been following each other ever since.

I was thrilled when she reached out asking about maternity photos. She told me she had a dress and wanted to take photos in a field with her husband. I knew just the place to take them… Sutter’s Landing.

Sutter’s Landing is a park with river access in Midtown, Sacramento. I’ve been there more for play than for work over the years, but knew it would be the perfect spot to shoot. There are fields that lead to the river, plenty of trees, and scattered wildflowers. 

We shot on a golden summer evening in July. Her mustard dress stood out amongst the greenery, it was the perfect backdrop for a maternity shoot. I’m so happy with how the photos turned out, and am so thankful I got to capture this season for Michelle and Graham.
