Phil + Suzanna Maternity shoot! Favorite 10 <3

Phil was a coworker of mine years ago and was always very supportive of my photography. He got in touch a few months ago to share the news that he and his partner, Suzanna, were pregnant with their first child and looking to get photos in a few months! I don’t shoot maternity often, but I was thrilled they asked me to document this special time in their life! Their first date was just over 3 years ago in Old Sacramento, and they wanted to have their photo session there around some of their favorite places!

We strolled through Old Sac stopping for photos while catching up, and ended up at their abode for a little painting fun! Phil is an artist and wanted to incorporate paint into the shoot. Belly painting was the answer! They brainstormed this graphic for a quick, quirky, and fun paint addition to the shoot. I just loved it, and couldn’t stopped giggling. Suzanna relaxed in an adirondack as Phil’s brush stroked her belly. 

Phil and Suzanna radiate love and kindness. They are always making each other smile. I’m so excited for the life they are bringing into this world!
