Stomp Musical!

Last night, Anna and I braved the rain for a fun Friday night date. We want to give a BIG thank you to Broadway Musicals for giving us tickets to see the hit show STOMP.  We started the night at Downtown & Vine for a few glasses and some appetizers. Anna enjoyed the charcuterie tower. We mingled with other #BroadwaySacramentoAmbassadors and members of The Blog Bloc before walking over to the Community Center Theater. Once we got to the theater we took advantage of a photo op with brooms and trash can lids, in true STOMP style. We got some peanut M&M’s from the concession stand and found our seats.

If you haven’t heard of STOMP, it’s an amazing group of percussionist making music with found objects like buckets, tubes, shopping carts and more. It was far more funny than you would expect a musical with no spoken words to be. We laughed, danced, clapped and snapped along with the show. It was very interactive and fun to get to play along with the cast. The STOMP 25th anniversary show will be running in Sacramento through February 10th.

We definitely recommend seeing STOMP. It’s perfect for friends, family, or a date night. There are so many yummy restaurants on K Street, many of which offer a discount to theatre attendees. If you don’t make it to STOMP, keep an eye out for future show by Broadway Sacramento, Cats and Aladdin are featured later this year.

Thanks again to Broadway Musicals and The Blog Bloc for having us, and my beautiful wife, Anna, who helped me write this post.

Enjoy your weekend and remember to go see STOMP!
