Monday Reflection February 4, 2019

Hey all! Happy Monday.

It’s February. Hearts are everywhere and candy aisles are filled with conversation hearts. My first wedding of the year is coming up in just a couple weeks, and I can’t wait to jump back into the love and energy of a wedding day. Fun fact, it’s my wife and I’s nine year dating anniversary this month (on Valentine’s day of all days). Even though we’re in between rain storms, and it’s been pretty gloomy the last few days, I can’t help but feeling extra full of love.

I’m so thankful to all of the couples that choose me to document their love day. It’s not something that happens everyday and I don’t take it lightly. I’m in it for the love, the joy, the details, the once in a lifetime moments that I get to photograph. I’m proud to be an inclusive wedding photographer that focuses on LOVE.

My goal as your wedding photographer is to make you feel as comfortable, beautiful, and happy as possible. Your wedding photographer is with you for basically your entire wedding day, and it’s important to be positive, encouraging, and respectful. 

My approach is to capture the day candidly as it unfolds (while making sure we stick to the timeline), but to prompt and pose for the sake of timing and group photos. We’ll take advantage of great lighting, beautiful scenery, and all the details you’ve been pouring your heart into through the planning process. 

All of my wedding packages include a pre-wedding consultation. We’ll sit down together, go over wedding collections, sample photos, and we’ll chat about your wedding day. My favorite question is: what are you the most excited about on your wedding day? I’ll share a copy of my wedding guide with you, which will help the planning process go smoothly. 

From there, we’ll schedule an engagement session which gives you a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera. Engagement sessions are fun because we get to hang out and make cute photos that you can use in your wedding guestbook, wedding day decor, or save the dates. Engagement sessions are such time capsules as it’s usually the start of the documenting of your love. Some couples have never had professional photos taken together, so it’s a really great way to capture this time. 

About a month out from the wedding, we’ll have a final meeting where we finalize the timeline, go over last minute details, and make sure we have all the info we need for a smooth wedding day! 

I can’t wait for all of the weddings I have this year. In honor of taking my business full time, and celebrating love, I am honoring 2018 wedding package pricing through February of 2019.  This means you can ignore the pricing on the investment page and contact me for 2018 wedding package rates. 

To get 2018 pricing, you must pay the deposit before the end of February 2019.  A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking. Subject to availability.
