Vendor Recommendation: Reverend Jeri Murphy

Happy 3 month wedding anniversary to Katie and Christopher!

In May, I had the honor of documenting their wedding, which is where I met Reverend Jeri Murphy!

Jeri was super kind and put so much thoughtfulness into the ceremony. I was not only honored to document Katie and Christopher’s wedding, but witness the reverend marry them. Ceremonies are SO special! The moment when two people commit to one another is absolutely beautiful. Jeri’s sermon was reflective of the couple, genuine, and beautiful. I was in awe of this amazing moment.

Jeri and I ran into each other about a month later at Creative Mornings at the Urban Hive and decided to meet up. I’m so happy we were able to connect. I always love getting to know people in the industry so I can give recommendations and keep in touch with those who love weddings as much as I do!

We got to chatting, and she told me she read my blog post about my wedding! How nice is that? She said how neat it was that Anna and I wrote our own vows. We decided to meet up again, and she asked me questions about photography, my business, and more. She even took the time to ask for photos and wrote up a blog post about me! What a gem! Jeri is a non denominational reverend that has been officiating ceremonies for over 18 years. Her favorite part of being an officiant is witnessing the love and being apart of that spectacular moment when two people marry one another. She asked me “on your golden anniversary, what do you want to remember?” and I said ” all the love and the laughter Anna and I share”. That question has stuck with me lately, and I really like it!

How amazing that she invests in her couples and wants to see them in love for a long time and succeed in their marriage to one another?!
